About Me

I’m the founder of Every Language Learner and a dedicated EAL specialist with over 20 years of teaching experience. Drawing on my own background as a language learner, I’m passionate about creating inclusive classrooms where every student’s linguistic identity is recognised, valued, and celebrated.

Through consultancy, workshops, and resource development, I support schools and educators to embed equitable, research-informed practices that reflect the rich multilingual realities of their learners. My approach centres on practical strategies such as translanguaging that empower students to bring their full linguistic selves into the classroom.

In addition to working with schools and teachers, I lead English for Learning and Belonging, providing tutoring for multilingual students and guidance for families to help maintain and celebrate home languages. I also lead English for Work and Belonging: supportive, purpose-driven English classes that help learners build the language, confidence, and cultural awareness they need to access better jobs and feel at home in their communities.

At Every Language Learner, I believe language is not a barrier, it’s a bridge to belonging, opportunity, and joy.

Let’s reimagine language learning. Together.
